Level 1 expeditions blend off-road exploration with well-earned breaks. Nicknamed “Dunes and Spa” by our big brothers at Freshline, these journeys give you a taste of adventure without losing the luxuries. Expect shorter ride days, more downtime, and the occasional off-day spent by the pool or enjoying a massage.
While still requiring teamwork and a willingness to explore the unknown, Level 1 expeditions are often supported by a chase truck and are designed for riders who want to ease into the expedition experience. Not a tour. Not a vacation. But a great starting point if you’re unsure whether you crave the full-blown adventure.
Level 2 expeditions are a deep dive into off-road adventure, designed to push riders to refine the skills needed for a Level 3 mission. Instead of crossing an entire country, Level 2 immerses you in a single environment—whether that’s a desert, jungle, or mountain range.
Here, you’ll often camp, navigate off-grid, and work as a self-sufficient team while honing advanced riding techniques, navigation, and team strategy. The focus is on skill-building in a stable setting. For example, a Level 2 expedition might mean camping and mastering the technical terrain of Moab, while a Level 1 in the U.S. might be a relaxed coastal ride from California to Oregon.
Perfect for riders wanting to sharpen their off-road, navigation, and self-sufficiency skills before tackling a full-scale mission.
Level 3 expeditions are the pinnacle: true missions that demand the highest levels of skill, endurance, and teamwork. These journeys have a purpose—whether it’s bringing fresh water to remote tribes in Namibia, delivering medical supplies to Peru, or providing veterinary aid in Guatemala. Each team sets a humanitarian objective before departure and works together to accomplish it.
Level 3 teams are made up of elite riders who have proven their ability at Training Camp or on past expeditions. Riders are strategically placed into teams with complementary skills—such as medic, mechanic, navigator, or language specialist—to increase the likelihood of mission success.
These expeditions are intense, unpredictable, and demanding—physically, mentally, and mechanically. They require advanced off-road skills, adaptability, problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to the team. For experienced and qualified riders only.
At Training Camp, we evaluate each rider’s technical ability, adaptability, and teamwork in order to place them into the appropriate expedition level. Our goal is not just to assess skill, but to ensure you’ll be confident, safe, and effective within your team.
